Direct Aid Program
Expressions of Interest are sought for the Australian Embassy’s Direct Aid Program (DAP). Applications closed on 10 August 2025.

Eligible DAP Projects should have a direct, practical and immediate impact on Nepal’s development. NGO and not-for-profit companies applying for DAP must be registered with relevant Nepali authorities, including the Social Welfare Council.
This year, the Embassy’s Direct Aid Program will fund activities in the following areas:
- Combating human trafficking, modern slavery and child labour,
- Strengthening democratic institutions through promotion of gender, disability and social inclusion,
- Entrepreneurship and trade promotion, particularly to support export industries.
Applications should outline how the project will respond to gender equality, disability, and social inclusion issues in their implementation.
