The embassy cannot provide information on Nepalese visa issues.

For information regarding visas to Australia, please contact the Department of Immigration and Citizenship at the Australian High Commission, New Delhi. For information relating to visas for countries other than Nepal and Australia, please contact the diplomatic mission of the country you intend to visit.

Replacement of a Nepalese visa

If the passport containing your Nepalese visa is lost or stolen while in Nepal, you will need to take your replacement passport to the Department of Immigration to receive a new visa, which will be valid until the date of expiry of your original visa. Without the new visa, Nepalese authorities will not allow you to leave Nepal.

Please bear in mind that while you are in Nepal, you are subject to Nepalese laws, regulations and procedures. The Australian Government is unable to intervene in cases where an Australian has been refused a visa or denied entry to Nepal.
