22 Australia Awards Recipients Felicitated

On Thursday 1 December 2016, the Chief Secretary for the Government of Nepal Dr Som Lal Subedi and the Australian Ambassador to Nepal, HE Glenn White congratulated 20 Australia Awards Scholarship and two Australia Awards Endeavour recipients who will be commencing their graduate studies in Australia in January 2017.

Australian Alumni Excellence Award 2016

On 24 June 2016, the Australian Embassy in Nepal held an Australian Alumni Excellence Award Ceremony to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Nepali students who have studied in Australia. The event was organised in collaboration with the Australian Government Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and Department of Education and Training based in New Delhi. The event was organised to celebrate the significant achievements of a number of these outstanding individuals in their respective fields.

Workshop on Building Back Better and Safer for Gender Equality

On 17 June March 2016, Australian Embassy, in partnership with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, (UN Women) and Sancharika Samuha Nepal, hosted a workshop on “Building Back Better and Safer for Gender Equality”. This is the third event being hosted on the theme of building back better with the first one held on 9 March, 2016 to celebrate International Women’s Day followed by the closed group meeting on 27 April 2016 at the Australian Embassy.
